Hip-hop forerunner and legendary dancer Bruno “Pop N Taco” Falcon died … this according to his loved ones.
His sister, Diana Wolgamott, told TMZ … the longtime Los Angeles dancer and choreographer passed away Saturday at his Long Beach home. She said she believes he may have died from a possible heart attack. We are told his death is presumed to be natural and no post-mortem will be conducted.
Bruno was a major figure in the dance scene throughout the ’80s and ’90s – in particular, through a style he portrayed as his own when locking up… that he popularized throughout the series. hit classic movie “Breakin” where he played a role. of the main characters, in contrast to Electro Rock 1 Bang Tzu.
Speaking of his death, the rapper confirmed his death on Twitter… responding to a fan asking if he had heard of Bruno’s death and saying: “Yes, just received it. got a message. He’s young. Smh.”
He continued to act in other films such as “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey”, “Thumbelina” and even Michael Jacksonby “Moonwalker.” He actually has a pretty close relationship with MJ… has danced back and forth with the superstar for years, even appearing in several music videos.
He’s probably best remembered as one of the dancers on “Smooth Criminal” who performed the iconic lean-to sequence. Bruno is also said to have taught Michael a thing or two about popping and locking… a style MJ often used during his career. Bruno was with Michael on his HIStory tour in the ’90s – he seems to have served as a choreographer.
Bruno also danced with other Jackson family members including La Toya and Janet. He also appeared in music videos for Lionel Richie and Chaka Khanamong other class artists.
