UPDATE
4:39 p.m. PT – Sources connected to Bret told TMZ … he may have had a bad reaction to a drug that is related to COVID … the drug that caused the reaction due to his diabetes.
Bret Michaels currently being treated at Nashville hospital… an emergency occurred just before he was due to take the stage with Poison.
The band was part of a major stadium tour with Def Leppard, Motley Crue and Joan Jett. Spectators assumed that members of the Poison took to the stage on Thursday night and told the crowd that Bret had had to go to the hospital because of a bad reaction to the medication.
As a result, the other band members announced that they would not be able to perform their part.
Apparently, some fans were upset, taking to Twitter to express their disappointment. One fan wrote, “Got all the way to KC to see the poison. Bret Michaels hospitalized. No poison in Nashville.”
Waiting for your permission to load Instagram Media.
It’s unclear how long Michaels will be sidelined, with the tour continuing with Saturdays in Florida and Sundays in Mississippi.
