Father drowns making an attempt to avoid wasting son in Lake Berryessa

A father has died after trying to rescue his son from drowning in Lake Berryessa, according to the Napa County Sheriff’s Office. Witnesses told delegates they saw Marciallo Perez, 35, get into the water to save his son. While his son survived, Perez was unable to swim back to shore. Sheriff officials said it was the second drowning in six days at Lake Berryessa. People are advised by the Napa County Sheriff’s Office to wear life jackets when near or in the water.

Sheriff officials said it was the second drowning in six days at Lake Berryessa.

People are advised by the Napa County Sheriff’s Office to wear life jackets when near or in the water.
