Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence, RB Travis Etienne Will Not Be Into Corridor of Fame Sport

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The four defenders of the American jaguar Trevor Lawrence Coach Doug Pederson will not compete in Thursday’s Hall of Fame Match against the Las Vegas Raiders, coach Doug Pederson said Tuesday morning.

Run back Travis Etienne, who missed his rookie season with a Lisfranc injury, will also not compete, Pederson said. Etienne will not practice Tuesday because of illness, but otherwise has fully participated in training camp. Pederson said he wants to be careful with Etienne, the 25th overall pick of the 2021 draft.

“Trevor has gotten a lot of great looks here in practice,” says Pederson. “[We] feel he is in a good position. “

Backup Midfielder CJ Beathard has been confined to camp while recovering from a groin injury he suffered in the OTAs and will also not be competing against the Raiders. Jake Luton will start.

“We’re still evaluating our squad,” Pederson said. “We have a lot of young boys and a lot of battles that we want to start seeing in game situations.”

Lawrence hit 12 touchdown passes and 17 interceptions, and set a franchise rookie record of 3,641 yards as a rookie in 2021.
