The Missouri State Highway Patrol has released the identities of the four people killed in Monday’s tragic Amtrak derailment. The truck was hit by a passenger train. The derailment also sent more than 150 passengers to an area hospital for treatment. Authorities have now confirmed that driver Bill Barton II, 54, of Brookfield, Missouri, was confirmed dead at the scene of the incident by Chariton County coroner Nye Bowyer. The three passengers who died from injuries sustained during the derailment were all residents of the greater Kansas City area.
