The trade deadline date is here in Major League Baseball. The MLB 2022 trading deadline is set or 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday (August 2), which means the teams have less than eight hours to bolster their roster ahead of the knockouts on Tuesday. August and September. This year’s business is not short of intrigues or names. National citizen Phenom Juan Soto is the most notable name on the market and he was able to buy one of the biggest commercial packages ever seen after turning down a contract extension offer in Washington.

Most of the action is likely to arrive by Tuesday afternoon, but some teams aren’t waiting to get the business done. The Yankees are one of the busiest teams in the MLB, buying boot star Frankie Montas, quarterback Andrew Benintendi and sub-players Lou Trivino and Scott Effross. The Padres made a surprising splash on Monday when they acquired Josh Hader from the Brewers, and the Mariners created a storm by trading for Luis Castillo, the top starting player currently available.

Willson Contreras, Ian Happ, Noah Syndergaard and Josh Bell are some other notable names that could be moving on Tuesday night.
