Technoblade, one of the most popular Minecraft video creators on YouTube, has passed away after being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, according to his family.
He is 23 years old.
“If I had one hundred more lives, I think I would choose to be Technoblade again every time, because those were the happiest years of my life,” he wrote in a message to his community about 8 hours before death.
His father read the message aloud in one YouTube Thursday’s video titled “very long nerd” reached millions and hit #1 on trending.
“I hope you guys enjoy my content and I made some of you laugh, and I hope you all continue to live long, prosperous and happy lives because I love you,” Technoblade wrote in its message.
Millions of people have watched Technoblade’s Minecraft play videos on YouTube. This movie from April last year currently has nearly 30 million views.

Technoblade’s family revealed that his first name is Alex and shared photos of him in the video. His family did not mention his last name and asked to protect his privacy.

Attracting more than 11 million followers on YouTube and nearly 4 million followers on Twitter, Technoblade has attracted a wide community of people who enjoy his humour, kindness and ways to play the video game Minecraft.
“He’s the most amazing kid anyone could ask for,” his father says in the video with tears welling in his eyes.
In part of his message, Technoblade thanked people who purchased merchandise and his channel membership, and explained that his siblings can now go to college if they want. .
“From the earliest days of Technoblade online, he has always mapped out ways to delight and reward his audience – giving out prizes online, encouraging good sportsmanship and, above all, sharing share his Minecraft adventures for fun and laughter,” a statement from his family read at the end of the video.

Mourning the death of Technoblade
Many people have expressed their grief over Technoblade’s death on multiple social media platforms, including Reddit.
“Alex, you’ve been a pillar of our community. We all love your content. You’re one of the kindest and most philanthropic and healthiest individuals our community has. have the privilege of being around”, one Reddit user comments Friday.
“We are all deeply saddened by this tragedy. Although Alex has passed away, Technoblade’s legacy will never die. We all respect you as one of the greatest people on the planet. this planet,” added the user.
John Green extended his condolences to Technoblade’s family and community on Friday.
“So very sad to hear of the death of technoblade, a talented and hilarious 23-year-old youtuber that I often watch with my son. My thoughts are with his family, friends and fans. Alex,” he tweeted.

Technoblade’s family said they would donate a portion of the proceeds from his online merchandise orders to the Sarcoma Foundation of America, in his words. website.
