Trying to rob an RTA bus in New Orleans East

Two carjackings were reported by New Orleans police yesterday, one of a transit bus. According to reports, officers arrested 21-year-old Terrance Johnson after he allegedly approached a bus driver of an RTA in New Orleans East on the 7700 block of Grant Street shortly before noon yesterday to want to steal the bus. The bus driver refused, and the unarmed suspect jogged toward Wilson Avenue. Later that evening in New Orleans East, three men with pistols and rifles approached a victim from behind and demanded his keys on the 1000 block of Chimney Wood Lane. The victim obeyed and the subjects fled in the victim’s 2021 silver Chevrolet Traverse. The Chevrolet Traverse was briefly restored through OnStar. There is currently no other information about the two incidents.
